ImageIn the history of cinema I would like my movies to be remembered instead of me. This was the declaration of the colossus of the Italian cinema Giuseppe Tornatore that is now in Tirana. In an interview for Alsat the director of the movies like “Malena”, “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso”, Baaria” or “The legend of the pianist in the ocean” talks about his career starting in the theatre and the love for Sicily.

With the Oscar Prize won at the age of 32 for the famous movie “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso”, Tornatore uncovers the reason why women are protagonists in his movies and when they are not protagonist they are the initiators of the story.

In his movies Tornatore shows an Italy that in its smile hides sadness.
He has worked with actors like Marcelo Mastroiano, Philip Noiret, Ben Gazzara, Gerard Depardieu, Roman Polanski, Monika Belluci and when he choses the acytors he says that he doe not have in front the actor but the character he will play.

Tornatore is visiting Albania for the first time and is feeling the compliance of the Albanian public for his movies.
