EULEX will not support or help the parallel structures in Kosovo. This was the declaration of the EULEX’s chief Iv De Kermabon for the Serbian daily “Veçernje Novosti”. He also said that this mission was conceited for compiling a strategy for the north but it is not a strategy for the European Union.“We believe that the development in north of Kosovo can be achieved only through dialogue, while the mandate of EULEX is to support the Kosovo’s institutions in constructing the law domination in the entire Kosovo”, said Kermabon. “The mission will help the strong construction of the law domination free of the political interventions that promotes multiethnicity, human rights and is based in the European standards”, said the chief of EULEX. He also added that the mission is focused in monitoring and consulting the local colleagues, even though the mission has some executive competences in the area of the organized crime, terrorism and grave economic crime. The chief of EULEX has also clarified the misunderstandings that have come from the Serbian visits in Kosovo. Agim Popoci |
