The Democratic Party of Kosovo has won in Prizren and in Lipjan. In Prizren the winner is Ramadan Muja with 53.2% of the votes, while in Lipjan Shukri Buja won with 53.1% of the votes. This is the announcement of the Central Elections Commission based in the preliminary results of the third round of the elections for the commune leaders.According to this result the two candidates of PDK have won over the candidates of Democratic Joint of Kosovo, respectively with 46.8% in Prizren and 46.3% in Lipjan. The head of the Central Elections Commission Nesrin Nusha said that this result is from the counting of the regular votes, while the conditioned votes will be elaborated. As it may seem, this result can not be altered by the conditional votes that include the votes of the persons with special needs and the votes sent by post. It is still unknown if there will be appeals to contest the result. The victory of the Democratic Party of Kosovo in Prizren and Lipjan is also confirmed by the coalition of the non-governmental organization “Democracy in Action”, based in the preliminary results. Differently from the elections of the second round where were found some problems, the participation in these elections was satisfactory. In Lipjan the participation was 57.08% and in Prizren 40.62%.
