| A day of mourning for Panajot Pano |

 Not only the football but all Albania today mourns for the legend of the Albanian football, Panajot Pano. The body of the famous football player will reach Albania today and according to the decision of the minister’s council the day of his burial will be a National Day of Mourning. The flags in the private and public institutions will be raised in half the flagstaff and the National Albanian Radio Television will transmit only obsequies music in honor of the famous figure of Panajot Pano that passed away on January 19th in the age of 71 after a heart attack in Florida, USA.All the expenses for the transport of his body in Albania and for the gravesite ceremony will be covered by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports. In March 2009 Panajot Pano has received the title “Honor of the nation” by the president Bamir Topi. This is the first time that in Albania a football player received this title, an appraisement that Panajot Pano fully deserved. Eno Skarço |
