 In gratitude to the 2 years support the children of the center “Dora e Ngrohte” in Tepelena have thanked in a special way the president of the company “Taçi Oil”, Rezart Taçi. The 35 children with mental and physical handicap that are being treated in this center have donated to Taçi their creations.

 In the Academy of Arts will be opened an alternative theater for the students of canto. This is an interesting project that will give the possibility to the talented students to get on another scene from that of the Theater of Opera and Ballet. According to the dean of the faculty of music Sokol Zhupo this project has started and will finish in June with the first show on this scene.

 Passes away in the age of 66 years old the well-known director Ibrahim Muça. Family memberes, friends and colleagues expressed their condolences for the director who gave too much for the Albanian cinematography. Some of the movies of Muça that are still displayed in the Albanian televisions are: “Dimri I Fundit” Liri a Vdekje” etc. with the loosing of Ibrahim Muça the Albanian cinematography will now fell poorer.

 Tirana International Film Festival is in its fourth day of exhibition. Today’s competition will present some interesting and important movies starting with “Nashin” of Daya Cahen, “Unknown Soldiers” of Shalva Shengeli and the movie “East-West-East” of Gjergj Xhuvani. The movies will be displayed in the “Kadri Roshi” Venue in the national Theatre.

 After the international prize at the festival in Montpelier, there is another prize for the movie “Alive” in the International Festival of Cottbus in Germany. The festival was held from 10 to 15 November. The jury of the festival gave the prize “Don Quixote” to the movie of Minarolli for the dramatic and emotional aspect of the movie.

The movie “Alive” of the director Artan Minarroli has won a prize in the 31st edition of International Movie Festival in Montpelier, France. Between 5 long movies, “Alive” has won the prize for technical support from “Éclair Laboratories”. This prize is worth 5500 euros and is the second important prize for this movie, after the special prize that it got in the National Festival in Durres. It is also selected as the movie that will represent Albania in the section of the foreign movie in the 28th edition of the Oscars for 2010.

 The writer Mira Meksi has released for the readers her new novel “The red of the bulls”.  A shield that was found in 1984 by the archeologist Vangjel Dimo is in the second phase of the restoration from the master Frederik Stamati. The diameter of the shield is 72 cm and is one of the largest metallic objects discovered in Albania.

 2.111.981 persons have visited Albania in the period January – August 2009. The Ministry of Tourism reports that 1.402.558 are foreign visitors and 26.080 of them are daily excursionists, while 1.376.478 are tourists that had stayed for some days.
