 The Irish ship “Rachel Corrie” that travels toward the Gaza Strip has ignored till now the requests of the Israeli Marine to return in the port of Ashrod where it departed. “We have contacted them but the crew does not cooperate”, said a spokesman of the army by not informing if the ship has been stopped and surrounded by the Israeli forces or is still continuing its route to the Gaza Strip.

 The German federal president Horst Koehler resigned his position. The cause was his controversial declarations for Afghanistan. The accusation that he had supported anti constitutional engagements of the German Army to secure economical interests is unjustifiable, said Koehler today in Berlin. According to the president respect toward the highest position of the state is lacking. While reading the declarations where he announced his resign the president had tears in the eyes and sometimes a weak voice.
